My “forever” truck is for sale. Cheapest LS swap on Facebook or Craigslist.
Got this truck over 13 years ago. It is has been my baby, but my family is growing and we don’t all fit my old truck anymore. I’ve built this truck to my liking. Lots of details so sit down, grab a drink, maybe a snack, this will take awhile.
1988 K1500. 251,000 miles on the odometer, cab, and frame. Everything else has been touched at some point. Original red/white two-tone paint code. Originally 350/700r4 10 bolt 3:08 gears. Red interior, AC cab.
It’s not perfect. Interior is only missing a few pieces, cab corners and rockers are rusty, front fenders are rusty, clear is pealing on cab, front bumper is bent, driver door sags, tail gate has a dent, bed isn’t straight but is rust free, exhaust hangars need repaired. AC IS NOT FINISHED. Odds and ends that I would “get to eventually”.
THE GOOD: Truck is ready to rip every time you get in it. Everything I’ve done, I’ve done so that it is reliable and needs minimal maintainence. Gets 14-15 mpg and is a blast to rip on. Also pulls trailers very well with the bigger brakes and the manual transmission (no automatic searching for the right gear!).
I will edit the ad as I remember things. Reach out if you think you need this truck in your life. I am negotiable and know it isn’t perfect, it’s just cool. In the photos, I had not cleaned the outside yet and the floor mats are stained brown....I’ll try to get some better pics when time allows.
