1985 GMC K10 Mud Truck for Sale.
This Mud Truck has been Sold or removed by Owner.
Ive had the truck for about a year and a half now and have replaced many parts on it to make it a reliable daily driver. The engine is the original 305 that came in the truck factory, but it was rebuilt in june by my my dad and myself.
Fuel sending unit, tank cleaned, soft fuel lines from tank. engine removed. bearings checked. block flushed. new freeze plugs. rebuilt 882 350 heads (valve job, guides checked and new seals installed). edelbrock perfromer intake. new seals. oil pump. 300 horse 327 cam/lifters (has a slightly bumpy idle). double roller timing chain, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bushing. starter rebuilt. new motor mounts new power steering pump and hoses, water pump, alternator, radiator, radiator hoses, heater hoses, battery. flotech longtube headers. rear axle seals. rear differential gear oil. new diff cover gasket. rear brakes rebuilt. rear brake hoses. rear shocks. quadrajet carb rebuilt. front wheel bearings, calipers, front brake pads, brake master cylinder, slave cylinder, clutch master cylinder, hei distributor, new plugs and wires. oil pressure sending unit. fuel pump. temp sending unit. knock sensorl, thermostat and thermostat housing, windshield wiper motor, headlight switch, brand new windshield and windshield seal, tow hitch, 12 volt outlet for accessories.
Aftermarket center console (these trucks never had a cupholder). aftermarket bluetooth radio and 6x9 speakers. 32x11.50r15 mudstar radial tires with less than 2k miles.. true dual flowmaster exhaust. Front end is tight, goes down the road straight. 4x4 works flawlesly. Doesnt leak, burn or use any fluids. 2.73 gears, does great on the highway. All the dash lights and gauges work as they should. Factory Locker in the rear end Original paint was pretty tired so I scuffed it down a shot it with hotrod black.
The only thing else I was going to do was a new dash pad and floor mat, pull the dent on the bed, and straighten the front fender and rear bumper. The rear bumper should straighten out very easily as should the fender and bed, all these are they way they were when I bought it from the original owner.
Damn good mud truck, I hate to sell it but I just dont need it. Im the 2nd owner of this truck. Truck is a southern truck from Alabama and its been there its whole life. Still has grease pen marks on the frame and firewall, thats how clean the truck is.
2k miles on rebuild. those are the factory miles at 81000. I got it with 77k, rebuild went at 79k. (The miles may increase as I still drive the truck). Toolbox comes with the truck, but the CB radio and antenna do not. everything on this mud truck works but windshield washer and tag light. (I havent had time to check it out). Yes I still have the original breather for it, I just liked the way the chrome one looked.
NON A/C TRUCK, it never had a/c from the factory. I was going to install an aftermarket a/c system myself but I havent got around to it yet. (It has vent windows, kick panel vents and a sliding back glass so its really not that bad) Im from from Alabama and Im used to the heat and humidity anyway. The heat works great though. The interior color was originally all black but I decided to break it up a bit with the red (dash pad, seat cover, console) the original seat was vynil and was ripped so I replaced it with a nice blue cloth seat from a different 85, its clean and in great shape.
I took the steering wheel out of an 89 GMC truck and installed it, It is much more comfortable wheel than the thin factory one. And yes the horn still works. Fresh 20% tint on side/rear windows If you havent realized it already this truck has a 4 speed manual transmision (its the heavy duty SM465 trans, which is kinda hard to find in a shortbox) so if you have never driven a manual and plan on looking at it I suggest learning on one before inquiring as my truck will not be used as a trainer for you. Would make an excellent father son project or first truck, all that is left is the small details.
Very reliable truck. Not scared to jump in and drive to California in it today. There is no rust on this truck, Its not a clapped out mud toy or trail rig. Its been babied its entire life. Ive seen worse trucks bring more money, and these trucks are only gaining in value and are a great investment, they are great trucks. I get compliments everywhere I go. After a paint job this truck will be a show winner. Clean and clear title. Dont have to sell
NO TIRE KICKERS, JOYRIDES, LOWBALLERS OR TRADES. Sure its not a brand new truck. But its as close as youre going to find without spending 20k. A few small details and this truck will be worth that and more The first person that looks at it is more than likely going to buy it. Gets an honest 13 mpg in town, better on the highway $11000 OBO/ Thanks for your time, and God bless.
