Monster Trucks for Sale
Listing has been sold or removed.
Considering selling my 05 F-250 containing the following.
235,000 miles on body and axles. Rough Country 8" suspension lift powder coated. 22X10 GRID chrome wheels with 37/13.50/R22 Toyo Open Country MT tires. SCT "Panty Dropper" Tune. Full 5" exhaust system. EGR Delete. Sinister Diesel coolant filter. Kenwood touch screen unit with amp and 10" sub, aftermarket door speakers. Upgraded rear tail lights and tailgate to 2008 with fold down step and backup camera (not hooked up). Upgraded 2008 side mirrors color matched. Aftermarket alarm system with remote start. Transmission was rebuilt by previous owner at 150,000 (no documentation). Radiator was replaced by previous owner same time as transmission (no documentation).
Engine was taken down to short block at 198,000 and had the following. Complete engine flush. New oringed heads with upgraded valves and springs by South Houston Engine. Upgraded Motorcraft lifters. Upgraded Motorcraft push rods. New Motorcraft glow plugs, harnesses, and module. New Aliant upgraded water pump. New Motorcraft oil cooler. New Motorcraft degas bottle, thermostat, and hoses. Blue spring kit.
Around the same time all 4 brake rotors were replace with cross drilled and slotted rotors and new ceramic pads and original steering box was replaced with upgraded Blue Top steering box. In the 30k miles it has been driven since, I have replaced the driver side wheel bearing assembly with a new Timken unit, alternator was replaced last year with lifetime high output unit from oreilly's, all of the tie rods, panhard bar, and main drag link were replaced last year with MOOG components, both batteries were just replaced a few weeks ago with new interstate ones, replaced the map sensor with factory motorcraft a couple of months ago.
The Cons. Truck was stolen about 2 years ago in Houston and at that time, the hand held SCT tuner was stolen. The truck is currently tuned with the SCT "Panty Dropper" tune and cannot be detuned without flashing. The FICM has recently started showing signs of voltage drop and needs to be replaced or rebuilt. I drive it weekly and have no issues as long as I monitor the voltage on the Scangauge. The factory trailer brake system has an issue and intermediately shows a TBC warning in the dash and applies the brake lights. The y pipe is cracked as all 6.0's eventually do and I do have a replacement MBRP with turbo install kit and new manifold bolts that needs to be installed but does not effect the way the truck runs at all. The factory cab mounts are deteriorated in the rear of the cab and need to be replaced. The roof had prior hail damage when I bought the truck and now the clearcoat has begun to fade and peel. The ac works but in this heat feel like it could use a recharge. Factory King Ranch seats do have their signs of age and wear, especially the front arm rests. The tires will need to be replaced before long.
The truck has been an ongoing project/toy of mine and has only been highway driven and never in mud or off road. I do tow with the truck pretty heavily and have never had any issues at all. It drives down the road great and has plenty of power and is a very solid foundation for someone wanting to put a little time and money into it to get it 100 percent. If you know 6.0's, you know I have listed a lot of upgrades and have already taken care of all of the typical mechanical upgrades needed to bulletproof one of these trucks and make it a solid and dependable driver. Asking $15,000 obo.
