Up for sale is one bad ass unique rock crawler on 39.5x14.5x15 Iroks (5 total tires on Rock-A-Thon Allied true headlocks rims). Chevy Danna 44 front (one broken axle shaft and lock out hub) with a Chevy 14 bolt rear end , both axles are welded . Full hydraulic steering in the front. 3/4 elliptical front suspension and Jeep coils in the rear (2 extra set come with it). This thing will flex and crawl like a boss! Rancho Shocks. Also included is two front steer 2.5 ton Rockwells. As noted the axle shaft is broken on the Danna 44 so I bought these to convert to something that won’t break.
It has one fire breathing Chevy 400 (4 bolt main) drinking propane snuggled up to a TH400 transmission that’s was completely rebuilt with new torque converter and has only two weekends worth of crawling on it. I have a set of high end reusable oil pan gaskets for the tranny and motor brand new. A chain driven NP-265 brings up the caboose on this sold drivetrain. I also have a NP-203 that I was gonna make as a doubler but just didn’t get around to it (it’s included). Two high output alternators that are totally separate. One system runs winch and lighting and the other is for cranking only. Two batteries(they are dead and in need of replacing but I have the cores for the new purchase). Two volt meters. One hour meter (reading 13hours since built) The weak link is the drive shafts. At this juncture it has non because I broke it. Two front drive shafts will come with it and one broken square tubing drive shaft for the rear (I recommend a new one professionally built). Flow masters with turn down tips for a quiet but meaty roar.
The frame and all suspension parts are powder coated along with anything in red like shifters bead locks on rims etc.
The front end is modeled after a 2007 Chevy 3500. (Hood could use some bondo). Yes some of the pics shows the grill missing but I have it and one extra. All the headlights are HID and led lights all the way around with white leds under the frame for night riding. 1200LB. Warren Winch (was completely rebuilt) before installing.
Radio, CB radio, 3 cigarette lighter ports. 3 racing seats with padding and 5 point harness seatbelts (extra harnesses will be given to you) Built in Highlifter mounts, chain saw mounts and two built in tool boxes.
Currently the buggy sits on blocks like most of the cars do in south Dallas. I started the axle swap and got hired at the airlines and I’m now never home to work on it. I currently have about 28k+ in the whole build. Considering it’s not on wheels for you to tear up my yard before buying, I’m pricing it accordingly at 10k, if you want the axles back under it I’ll need 12k. I’m willing to take a trade for an old single cab Chevy, Ford or International,53’ or older with patina or if it’s painted that’s fine too. Preferably one already drivable so I don’t have to pay someone to work on it (remember I don’t have time for work on my current project).
