2003 Chevy 1500 extended cab. This is a mans truck, not for dudes from south Carolina that only choose to install half a lift kit. Its loud, it squeaks sometimes, and it pisses your neighbors off. Selling it because im getting to old to not have AC and i dont want to put any more money in it. Truck has like 230K miles on it, runs like a champ, starts every day. Manual transmission swap with a NV4500c (2 wheel drive) out of a 1993? truck. Ford Dana 50 front end, completely rebuilt when installed like 30k miles ago. Auburn E gear electric locker in the front axle that has never been used, geared to 4.88. Never even had a front drive shaft hooked up. 37" BFGs that need replaced on 16" wheels - 16x12 - 8x170 in the front and 16x8 - 6x5.5 in the rear. Tires have pretty low tread and youve gotta put air in them every week. Front lift is around 14", 12" in the rear (6" leaf and 6" block). The plan was to use a divorced for NP205 transfer case, and a sterling axle in the rear, but i ran out of money when i was building it. With a little bit of money and some love, this would make a great mud/rocks/whatever truck. I drive it every day, runs out good. Will do 90 on I-85 (with the wind).
The Good: Newish front axle. Runs great. Manual trans works. Nice custom carolina driveline rear shaft. 2 12's in custom box that acts as rear seat.
The Bad: Ac needs compressor. Clutch pedal needs bolted back into the firewall (currently on floor). Transmission needs rebuilt (have to double clutch 2-3). Needs Reid Racing steering knuckle and arm. Needs transfer case, Rear axle, front driveshaft to have 4WD. Turn Signals dont work. Backup lights dont work (both happened when i swapped the trans. Tuning?). Probably could use an engine tune for the manual transmission. Needs tires (could fit 44's). Headlight needs a bracket. Would replace front shocks and mounts.
What you see is what you get. Sold AS- IS. Also dont need to sell it. Negotiable, but dont need to sell. If you ask stupid questions, youll probably get stupid answers. Asking 8,000.
