I have decided to sell my truck. I've owned it for 12 years. It is a 1986 K10 Silverado package, short bed. It started life as a 305, 700R4 Automatic with NP208 transfer case. My goal was to build a bullet-proof drivetrain using the best GM parts to build the truck the way I think GM should have.
Here is what's been done.
Engine - 350 bored 0.060 professionally built with over $6700 in receipts. I can go into detail with serious buyers. It has Aluminum 64cc Performer RPM heads, high compression pistons. We estimated it at 400HP/400ft-lbs. Engine has a few thousand miles since installation. 4 speed manual SM465 Transmission with granny low 1st gear. Radiator was upgraded with engine to a 4 core radiator for 1 ton big block trucks. NP205 transfer case. 14 bolt full floating axle from 1 ton with disc brake conversion and Detroit locker. Dana 60 front axle out of 1 ton (yes, D60 not D44). 4.10 gears front and rear. 6 inch Rough Country lift springs in front. 4" shackle hangers from Off Road Design + 2" Rough Country lift Springs. 37 inch Cooper Mud Terrains - brand new (&<100 miles). 17 inch Aluminum wheels. Frame support braces from Off-Road Design (prevent frame cracks). double shear shock support mounts to prevent cracks. Upgraded shocks. Sway bar disconnects from Off Road Design. I'm sure there is more I've missed.
I also converted the brakes to Hydroboost which are great for stopping with the large tires. The system was off of a diesel. It was done correctly with the correct master cylinder and power steering pump with the additional return. Truck has had complete AC system replaced as well as the heater core. Body has had new cab corners installed. Truck has no rust. I have changed out the steering column for a custom built column made for a manual transmission for this truck with correct wiring harness for wipers/turn signals, etc. I have replaced the fuel gage with a matching gage with a tachometer with 7k limit so that looks factory correct.
Here's what's needed to fully complete.
Drivetrain: transfer case e-brake or alternate options (I have calipers with e-brake hookup, but wasn't happy with them). Suspension: add anti-wrap bar to rear axle (under high accel, there is excessive axle wrap in my opinion). Frame: Additional frame support braces (will include in sale) to further support frame at steering column. Body: new paint and trim and pop fender dent. New tailgate primed and ready to install (current tailgate has a dent but I have another ready to swap). Interior - new door seals, dash has a crack, carpet is faded, interior plastic is cracked in places. I also have a bolt in trans cover from a manual transmission that has been primed and ready to bolt in the center hump. I would also upgrade speakers if I were keeping the truck. AC System - although new, there is a leak. I was planning to charge with die and find the leak.
I also have many other parts that can go with the truck if the buyer is interested. Cadillac El Dorado calipers with lever actuated e-brake (I changed these out because I didn't like the adjustment mechanism) trans cover for manual trans (bolts in center hump). Pedal assembly for manual truck with hydraulic trans (currently manual). Brand new toolbox. Primed tailgate ready to install and side steps.
If I don't get any interest, I'm planning to take the truck to the body shop and have the paint job finished solid black and interior updated to match, replace all seals and trim and relist for sale in the spring.
The truck is very solid and has been my baby for a long time. I now have young kids and can't enjoy it like I used to so it's time to trade for something with 4 seats. I'm very busy and would prefer to sell as-is and would prefer to find somebody who appreciates these trucks and understands the level of quality used on this build.
Only contact me if you are a serious buyer. Price is $12000 firm. Please don't waste time with low ball offers or trades. If someone is serious, I am happy to show them the truck and answer all questions.
